5. Our furniture arrives

A few weeks later, with the help of a neighbour, we set sail to meet Rob over the other side of the loch to collect our furniture.

The quad has arrived, no more carrying sand, gravel, shopping etc in the wheelbarrow and backpacks.
With hindsight (a wonderful thing!)  we probably would have gone for a 4x4 and something slightly bigger as this one struggles and usually refuses to pull the boat up. So we have to resort to the winch which is bloody hard work but very good for toning the upper body, apparently everyone used them before the advent of the gym! Now we just need to renovate the house so there's somewhere to put the furniture.
